Winter Poem
A silent winter night of cotton ice. These are the nights I feel the most, and yet words fail me. Time and again my heart screams to release her thoughts from behind barred doors; doors sealed by fear and self-ridicule. But on nights such as this the battering ram swings and shatters the gate. My heart is free for a time... what shall she divulge unto the listening sky? Words of love? Of hope or dreams? Nay. No tongue can fully express; no language can translate the thoughts of the heart. Is there none who can understand?? Aye, there is One. A solitary One who can see her heart and knows it intimately. He is Christ.

To Love
"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable."
~ C.S. Lewis
